Who can access Future Ready Check?

Future Ready Check is available in the Future Super app for members but there are a few exceptions.

  • Members that do not have a super balance yet will not see the tool in-app.
  • Members with a super balance over $2 million will not see the tool in-app.
  • Members aged over 67 will also not see the tool in-app.

This is because regulatory limits and advice rules mean the tool is designed for members earlier in their super journey.

Why was I stopped mid journey?

There are some instances where we will suggest other ways to receive advice based on your current situation, as Future Ready Check isn’t quite right for you. We do this so you don’t waste time on advice that isn’t right for you. For example, Future Ready Check cannot provide you with advice if you:

  • Are not yet a financial member (have $0 in your Future Super account)
  • Spend more than 40% of your income on mortgage repayments
  • Have an **income over $250,000 **
  • Your partner is retired and you want to include them in your projection

If this happens, you’ll be guided to next steps, including the option to book a session with one of our coaches for one-to-one advice, included in your membership at no extra cost.

Can I change my responses?

During your Future Ready Check, you can update your details and try different scenarios. Your progress saves automatically, so you can pause and come back anytime. You can also restart from the beginning if you like.

You can download a Statement of Advice (SOA) after each step. You’ll receive a personalised recommendation after step 2 and 3 and your final SOA will be generated within two days (unless you download it straight away).

If you want to make changes, do so before your final SOA is generated. After it’s been generated, you can start again at any time.

**Why do I only have 2 days to complete? ** Advice needs to be provided in a timely manner so that it can be of use to you. We want to give you the opportunity to get the most out of this tool, and fresh advice that’s based on your current situation is a big part of that. We don’t want you to get incorrect advice if your position changes.

My Future Readiness Score

What is the Future Readiness Score (FRS)?

It's a score reflecting your retirement readiness, or how likely you are to meeting your desired retirement over time.

Why did I get a low Future Readiness Score (FRS)?

Your score is based on the information you provided: your salary, super balance, age, contributions, partner details, assets, debts, and your chosen retirement income target. If your projected retirement income falls short of your target, your score will reflect that.

What does a low score mean?

It means your projected super balance and retirement income fall short of your stated target. The tool projects how far short in dollar terms.

What do I do now with a low score?

If you haven’t already you can complete Steps 2 and 3 to see what strategies may work to improve your score. You can also reach out to the coach team for additional support and guidance

Can I change my inputs and score after getting my FRS?

Yes, via the "Optional: Update your details" section. You must press "Run calculation" and then "View results" for any changes to flow through to your updated FRS. This section is locked once you've completed Step 2 or 3.
